From the recording The Misogynistics
People ask us if this song was based on personal experience. Some have even asked us if we are gay. No, we are not gay. What happened was, there were these two guys from high school, they had souped-up cars, they had girlfriends. As soon as we were old enough, we went to see Gas Pump Girls. It was a drive-in. There were the two guys, their two cars parked next to each other, making out with their girlfriends. We laughed, but the joke was on us. They had the chicks, we didn't.
Lyrics
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Two likable guys passing through town by car,
Two beautiful gals hanging around the bar,
One said to his friend “Why don’t we hit that meat/and meet?”
They wasted no time, they didn’t miss a beat.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
“Hi, my name is Zeke,” “My name is Zach, hello,”
“You, get in the front,” “Get in the back," "Let’s go!"
It didn’t take long for love to bloom,
(But) all they could afford was just one room.
True friendship, true love,
Doin' it side by side.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
They were really goin' at it.
They were really gettin' into it.
They were really goin' at it.
They were really gettin' into it.
Zeke counted the time, settin' a sprightly pace,
Zach called out the moves, touchin' the rightly place,
Both knew it was right to mate with them,
All said they would like to date again.
True friendship, true love,
Doin' it side by side.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
Ooh yah, ooh yah.
Ooh yah, hoot.
